The Martin Agency Hits it Humorously

My ultimate favorite ads are the newer Geico commercials. For me they have spunk, humor, well known iconic figures and wit. The concept, production and ideas come from the Martin Agency they are responsible for creating memorable moments in a short amount of time with these commercials. Geico commercials used to contain the cave men who at first were very humorous and memorable however with the repetitive nature of the phrase, "so easy a caveman can do it" it just became tired and overworked so much that consumers began flocking to other, better insurance agencies with better advertisements.
With their consumer loyalty draining Geico had to revamp itself, they had to give them-self a fresh new take on what they do, so they turned to the Martin Agency, who were able to create a funnier, light message with their new and improved commercial concepts. For example the "hump day" ad with the camel holds a special place in our hearts because of how well known Wednesday's nickname is, the Pillsbury dough boy Geico ad especially remains at least in my opinion the best Geico ad, why? Well because who doesn't know the Pillsbury dough boy? That laugh, who doesn't crack a smile or a laugh or two when he does it?
With over 2 million hits and over 15 million hits for both commercials, it is pretty safe to say that the Martin Agency has found a good formula one that works well with it's target audience the ads contain irony, familiarity and most of cleverness that makes the ad no matter how many times you watch it funnier and funnier. It's a formula that is funny and good enough to be able to allow viewers the ability to watch the commercials over and over again.
